Hank Mowery raced onto the local and regional blues scene in the Mid 90s his band The Hawktones. As General Manager of The Rhythm Kitchen Cafe, Mowery honed his skills jamming nightly with the local and national blues acts that happened through The Kitchen. During this time Mowery had the opportunity to share the stage with true legends of the blues such as Pinetop Perkins, Gary Primich, William Clarke, Little Charlie & The Nightcats, Anson Funderburg, Mark Hummel, Rusty Zinn & toured with Mike Morgan & The Crawl.Hank and his band have been getting recognition nationally and internationally since their release of ACCOUNT TO ME (Winner of the prestigious Best Self Produced CD of 2014), and has continued with their most recent CD EXCUSES PLENTY. The Hi-Jivers are a 4 piece Rock n Roll/ Rhythm and Blues band that play music inspired by the 50s and 60s but modernize with their passionate and wild originals. The vocalist, Dawna Zahn is a powerhouse soulful singer who has the dynamic ability to resurrect her favorite blues artists like Howlin Wolf and Big Mama Thornton with ease. She is accompanied by her husband, Austin John whose guitar arsenal has the maturity of a well seasoned blues guitarist, but with the sting of an explosive rock n roller. The Mass Choir concert The Paths of Our Ancestors Lead to the Future. The performance reflects the passage of time through the choirs repertoire. The program will include classical works by old masters, lesser-known gems, five new compositions, as well as beloved choral pieces. Performers to include choirs from North and South America, Latvia, vocal and instrumental soloists. The orchestral duties will be performed by the Orchestra of the Latvian National Guard.
